A warm welcome and a home from home

We were made to feel very welcome during our brief stay with Virginia and Steve. Our ferry was delayed and we arrived late but they kindly waited up for us and settled us in. Breakfast was great, and we really felt that they paid attention to little things that make a traveller feel more comfortable. It felt like a home from home, including the two gorgeous cats. We’d love to stay longer next time!

Hi Angie Thanks for your lovely review and we would love you to stay longer next time too. Regards Virginia and Steve

Easy to find even in heavy rain. It was signposted nicely and I enjoyed warm welcome by my hosts Virginia and Steve in nice, clean and quiet place. I was well looked after, being able to rest for a night before continuing my long trip down south. I am sure I will be back, next time with my friend and able to enjoy pleasent walks in Blenheim and to visit aircraft museum and other local attractions. Predrag

Thank you Predrsg for your lovely review. regards Virginia and Steve

5 stars!

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and can highly recommend this lovely place. The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, plenty of space for storage in the bedroom, clean and spacious throughout the house, meals were on point every single time, very quiet neighbourhood with immensely friendly neighbours, fluffy and cute cats with adorable personalities, hosts were extremely generous with extensive knowledge of local outdoor and indoor activities, delicious eatieries, and gorgeous vineyards. You will wake up feeling refreshed and ready to explore the beautiful region. Will definitely stay here again!

Thanks for staying at our place and your lovely reiview. It was our pleasure to host you and we look forward to your next visit to Blenheim and our Homestay.Regards Virginia and Steve

Great place to stay for children

I really enjoyed my stay at Steve and Virginia's. I stayed in the single bedroom and it was very clean and quiet. They had a lot of board games for me to play with by myself or with my mom in the lounge. They also had a big TV with kids channels so I could watch my favourite cartoons. A big playground is just around the corner from their house. Virginia makes delicious dinner and Steve always makes sure that I have plenty to eat for breakfast. They also recommended us to lots of delicious pie places - yum! I love their cats - Smokey and Lucky. Smokey likes playing chase and having treats. I miss all of them and will definitely stay at their place again when I go to Blenheim. It's a really great place for children :)

Thanks so much for your lovely review Jo, we enjoyed hosting you and your Mum, and thanks for staying at our Homestay. We look forward to your next visit to our Homestay and Blenheim.Regards Virginia and Steve

The lost runner
Beautiful Blenheim homestay

It's easy to get lost amongst Blenheim's rolling hills, vineyards, and small town vibe. But make sure you know your way back to Steve and Virginia's, because there's a warm Kiwi welcome waiting there. The homestay is spacious and very clean, and Steve and Virginia are consummate hosts. They offer a relaxed and friendly stay and are knowledgeable about the local area - offering advice on vineyards, breweries, and pie shops. Cats (Smokey and Lucky) provide ample entertainment and give a "home away from home" feeling. Add to this, good food and conversation on the sunny deck and you might not want to leave.

Thanks so much for your lovely review, we enjoyed hosting you and look forward to your next visit to Blenheim.regards Virginia and Steve
